The UNC Basketball program is showing interest in a combo guard in the 2021 recruiting class as they are expected to visit him soon

While things aren’t going so well for the North Carolina Tar Heels in this 2019-20 season, Roy Williams and his staff know they have a bright future ahead. The Tar Heels currently have the No. 3 ranked class for 2020 with three five-star and two four-star recruits signed.

With that class signed, it has allowed Williams and his staff to start working on the 2021 class where they have identified a few top targets.

The latest player to draw some interest from the Tar Heels is four-star combo guard Kowacie Reeves out of Georgia. Reeves is listed as a combo guard and ranked No. 6 at his position and No. 85 overall in the 2021 class per 247 Sports.

Per Rivals’ analyst Dan McDonald, the Tar Heels are now showing interest in Reeves and are expected to visit him to watch him practice very soon:

For Williams and his staff, they have a total of three offers in the 2021 class with one going to a point guard and all three players ranked in the Top 15. It’s apparent that guard Kennedy Chandler is becoming UNC’s top target but now adding Reeves to the mix helps the Tar Heels backcourt situation.

Reeves has a total of 13 offers and has taken three visits so far but he does not have an offer from UNC just yet. With the Tar Heels showing interest in him now, an offer could be coming down the road as there is still a lot of time left in this 2021 recruiting cycle.
