Justin Jackson, Sixth man

Jackson was part of a fantastic 2014 recruiting class that featured Theo Pinson and Joel Berry. The five-star recruit out of Texas officially committed to UNC on March 4th, 2013 putting the final touch on Williams’ recruiting class.

He spent three seasons at North Carolina, reaching the final four and title game twice and winning it all in 2017 before heading to the NBA a few weeks later. Jackson capped off his junior year by winning the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year award.

The 6-foot-8 small forward got off to a slow start in his career with the Tar Heels but by the end of his freshman year, he was starting to get going and you could see he had the potential to be a special player. Jackson averaged 10.7 points per game in his freshman season and upped it every year to 12.7 as a sophomore and finally 18.7 as a junior.

By the time Jackson was in his junior season, he developed into one of the best shooters not only in the conference but in the nation. Jackson shot 37 percent from the three-point line in his junior year, a full 7 percent better than his freshman mark of 30.

He would go on to be selected 15th overall by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Jackson ended his UNC career with the following accolades: NCAA All-Tournament Team, NCAA All-Region Team, 2016-17 ACC Player of the Year, 2016-2017 All-ACC, 2015 All-ACC Tournament Team, ACC Freshman Team.
