Two UNC Basketball commits will be playing for a title at the John Wall Invitational in their respected brackets on Monday night

It’s been quite the weekend so far at the John Wall Invitational for all three brackets in the boy’s division. The annual tournament hasn’t disappointed again this year with a lot of good talent in high school basketball participating.

We have already told you about a pair of North Carolina commits, Day’Ron Sharpe and Donovan “Puff” Johnson, playing and their future head coach Roy Williams watching them. Both have performed well for their respected schools in different brackets.

And now both are playing for the title in their bracket.

The tournament will conclude on Monday night with two championship games taking place. The winner of the T.J. Warren and David West brackets will be revealed and we could see two Tar Heels take home honors.

Sharpe and Montverde will take on Patrick School out of New Jersey in the first title game at 7:00 p.m. ET. Following that game, Johnson and Hillcrest Prep will take on Word of God in the Warren title game at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Both teams advanced to their title games after wins on Saturday night with both UNC commits having a big impact in the game. It’s been so far, so good for Tar Heels’ commits in this tournament.

Sharpe has dominated the paint, scoring in double-digits in both games for Montverde as he makes his return to the state of North Carolina after transferring. No team has had an answer for the big man so far.

As for Johnson, the sharp shooter got off to a slow start but really took off in the second half of his first game. He’s looking to continue his hot play as he finds his role.
