We take a look at some bowl projections for the UNC Football program a week before they will be officially announced to the public

The North Carolina Tar Heels are going bowling.

Following their 41-10 win over N.C. State on Saturday night, the Tar Heels finished the regular season at 6-6 and have become bowl eligible for the first time since the 2016 season. But where will the Tar Heels end up?

As we enter conference championship week beginning on Friday, the latest bowl projections are out for the Tar Heels and there are a few different options.

Let’s take a look at where a few different publications have the Tar Heels going for their Bowl game in December.

Sporting News — Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit, Michigan on Dec. 26 vs. Michigan State.

ESPN (Kyle Bonagura) Military Bowl Presented by Northrop Grumman on Dec. 27 in Annapolis, Maryland vs. NAVY.

ESPN (Mark Schlabach) — Belk Bowl on Dec. 31 in Charlotte, North Carolina vs. Florida Atlantic.

USA TODAY – Independence Bowl on Dec. 26 in Shreveport, Louisiana vs. Ohio.

247 Sports — Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 in Nashville, Tennessee vs. Western Kentucky.

CBS Sports — Military Bowl Presented by Northrop Grumman on Dec. 27 in Annapolis, Maryland vs. NAVY.

The Athletic — Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 27 in Bronx, New York vs. Michigan State.

As you can see in the list above, the common bowl is the Military Bowl vs. Navy in Maryland which would essentially be a home game for Navy. Two sites have projected that.

However, some of these other bowl games are pretty intriguing.

Facing Michigan State in either the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium or the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit could be fun too. Playing in Detroit would be like a home game for the Spartans as well.

The other intriguing bowl would be the Music City Bowl in Nashville. UNC fans travel well and getting to Nashville, an awesome city, shouldn’t be much trouble.

The Bowl matchups will be revealed on Dec. 8th along with the College Football Playoff Field.
