Former UNC Basketball stand out Coby White has a career game with Roy Williams in attendance as the Chicago Bulls beat the New York Knicks

It’s still very early in the 2019-20 NBA season but already Coby White has become one of the more impressive rookies from this past draft class.

While the Chicago Bulls are struggling at 4-7 early on, White has been a bright spot for the franchise that is rebuilding again. The Bulls selected White with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and although he’s not starting, he’s played a significant role off the bench.

On Tuesday night at home vs. the New York Knicks, White exploded in the fourth quarter and helped the Bulls take home the win. He made some history while doing so.

White made seven three-pointers in the quarter including four-straight for his own 12-0 run in the game and set a new Bulls franchise record for most three-pointers made in a single quarter. Yes, a record for a franchise that has had players like Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen,Norm Van Lier, Jerry Sloan, Steve Kerr, and Derrick Rose play for them.

The best part? White did this in front of his head coach Roy Williams who was in Chicago along with some assistants to watch this game.

After his fifth-straight three-pointer, White looked into the stands at Roy and the coach gave a smile that was caught on the broadcast:

White finished the game with 8 of 14 from the field including 7 of 11 from the three-point line for a total of 27 points. This was by far his best performance of his young career with the Bulls.

If this is any indication of what is to come for the rookie, then the Bulls really have a special player.
