UNC Football: Tar Heels release uniform combo for Clemson game
By Zack Pearson
The UNC Football program has released the uniform combo for Saturday’s matchup vs. the Clemson Tigers in Chapel Hill
The North Carolina Tar Heels are getting ready to prepare for one of the biggest tests for the program in recent memory as they welcome in defending champion and current No. 1 team in the nation, Clemson. The Tigers will invade Chapel Hill on Saturday as they look to keep rolling with their 4-0 record including 2-0 in the ACC.
For the Tar Heels, they are hoping to pull off a historic upset on Saturday afternoon but it won’t be easy as they enter the game as 28.5 point underdogs.
UNC is coming off a two-game losing streak, dropping their last two games to Wake Forest and Appalachian State. This will be their second conference game of the year as they are 1-0 following a big win over Miami in Week 2. But after this, the schedule opens up a little more and there are some winnable games left on the schedule.
With Clemson coming into town, the atmosphere will be exciting in Chapel Hill as the fans should be rocking for this one. And when UNC does take the field they will do so in a familiar uniform combination for home games.
The UNC Equipment account has tweeted out the uniform combo which will be a blue helmet, blue jersey top and white pants:
This will be the fourth time this season that UNC has used this combo, wearing it for the previous two home games plus vs. South Carolina. Here’s a look at the uniform combo for the season so far:
Week 1 vs. South Carolina in Charlotte — Blue helmet, blue jersey, white pants
Week 2 vs. Miami — Blue helmet, blue jersey, white pants
Week 3 vs. Wake Forest — White helmet, white jersey, white pants
Week 4. vs. App. State – Blue helmet, blue jersey and white pants
The Tar Heels are 2-1 in games with this uniform combo but did lose last week vs. the Mountaineers. Let’s hope they can reverse the trend.
