Where does the UNC Basketball program stand with five-star power forward Isaiah Todd? One recruiting analyst makes his prediction

The North Carolina Tar Heels came out of the weekend as a winner on the recruiting circuit as they landed five-star center Walker Kessler. The 7-foot Kessler announced his commitment just hours after he left campus following his official visit.

With Kessler committed, the Tar Heels have two five-star recruits in their class as Day’Ron Sharpe was the first to offer his verbal in 2018. But UNC is hoping to add more five-star recruits and needs some help on the wing.

One of the targets that UNC still has an offer out for is five-star power forward and in-state recruit Isaiah Todd.

His recruitment has been a mystery so far with the rumored favorites appearing to be Kentucky and Memphis. For some reason, UNC has hung around and Todd has even taken three unofficial visits to Chapel Hill in September. It’s a weird recruitment to say the least.

For Todd, he’s going to take some official visits but he doesn’t appear anywhere close to being ready to make a decision. Rivals recruiting analyst Corey Evans talked about Todd’s recruitment and where he thinks he will end up.

In his Twitter Tuesday column, Evans shockingly brought up the Tar Heels as his team that will land Todd:

"The likeliest of the four is Isaiah Todd, though he will not be in town but rather, will be taking his official visit to Michigan this weekend. The Wolverines are the sneaky dark horse for him, but whenever things are finalized, I see Todd in Chapel Hill."

Evans goes on to talk about other recruits that will be on campus this weekend for Late Night With Roy, including Ziaire Williams, Cade Cunningham and Greg Brown.

As it stands now, we don’t have a great idea of where Todd will land but the more and more UNC gets mentioned, the more the possibility could exist that he ends up in Chapel Hill. Again, there is a long way to go in the recruitment, so anything could change.
