Recruiting analysts say that these 2020 UNC basketball targets are ‘hardest to read’

In the fickle world of college basketball recruiting, it’s difficult to predict what school a top-flight prospect is going to commit to. With offers from a myriad of big-name programs — not to mention the prospect of playing professionally overseas — the options for elite players are nearly endless. Coaches sometimes have a good feel for where they stand with a particular player, while other recruitments often leave them guessing just as much as the casual fan or team insider.

That’s the case with a handful of prospects in the class of 2020, several of whom are being targeted by Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Each of the highly coveted prospects has a stack of scholarship offers from some of the most prestigious hoops programs in the nation, and no one seems to have any idea how their recruitments will end. Some may remain a mystery until the time of their announcements, while others may begin to show their cards as they cut teams from their respective lists and make their way through official visits.

Rivals recruiting analysts Eric Bossi, Corey Evans and Dan McDonald recently tabbed these four players in the 2020 class as ‘hardest to read’, completely uncertain what direction — if any — that they’re leaning.
