Committed elsewhere

Jeremy Roach

The five-star point guard was high on UNC’s list and there was some hope for the Tar Heels for a short period of time. But in the end, the Virginia native committed to Duke back in May of 2019.

Roach did have some interest in UNC but never made it on campus in Chapel Hill for an official or unofficial visit in his recruitment. The commitment from Roach was the first in the class for the Blue Devils, which has since added Wisconsin native Jalen Johnson.

Cam’ron Fletcher

The guard had interest in UNC but decided to make an early announcement and commit to the Kentucky Wildcats on August 5th.

Fletcher’s commitment to Kentucky may open the door for the Tar Heels to land one of these wings still available on the board. With a big need at the wing spot, Williams and his staff would love to land one soon. Options left include Puff Johnson, Caleb Love,  D.J. Steward, Bryce Thompson and Ziaire Williams among others.
