Cole Anthony and Anthony Harris have both been touted as very good shooters coming out of high school. The freshman duo is expected to hit outside shots for the Tar Heels this season, and stretch out opposing defenses.

If they’re able to do so, it’ll open up even more opportunities for a proven shooter like Christian Keeling. A career 35.2 percent three-point shooter and 38 percent as a junior, Keeling could easily be the Tar Heels’ most effective long-range shooter this season.

Brandon Robinson was poised to take a spot in the Tar Heels’ starting lineup, but two 5-star freshman and a pair of talented graduate transfers have made that much less probable for the senior shooting guard. He hasn’t been showcased a lot during his first three years at North Carolina, but did make some nice strides as a junior last season. He hit 23 of the 50 three-pointers he attempted, good for 46 percent.

Andrew Platek, on the other hand, is a player that has the faith and confidence of his coaching staff, but hasn’t shown much on the basketball court. In two seasons at North Carolina, Platek has averaged just 1.6 points per game on 48.2 percent shooting. And his sophomore season was actually a step back from his freshman, showing less production in virtually every statistical category including points, rebounds, assists, shooting percentage and three-point shooting percentage. Don’t be surprised, though, if he gets plenty of opportunities in year three to turn it around in Chapel Hill.
