The day is finally here for UNC Football target Kedrick Bingley-Jones as he is set to announce his college decision on Saturday afternoon

The North Carolina Tar Heels football program will know their fate with one of the top targets left on their 2020 recruiting board.

Decision day is approaching for four-star defensive lineman Kedrick Bingley-Jones as the Charlotte, North Carolina native will make his choice on Saturday afternoon at his High School, Providence Day. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound recruit is ranked No. 160 overall and is No. 16 at his position in this class per 247 Sports.

He’s also the No. 8 player in the state of North Carolina and landing in-state recruits is something Mack Brown has done well so far in this 2020 class. But will Bingley-Jones be the next to commit to the Tar Heels?

As we head into his decision day, all signs point to a happy day for UNC fans. The Tar Heels currently lead the 247 Sports Crystal Ball predictor with all 9 predictions so far. They have been the team trending for Bingley-Jones as he would be a big boost to the defensive line.

If he does decide to commit to the Tar Heels, it would add to what already is a big 2020 class for the program. They are also awaiting the decision of five-star defensive end Desmond Evans as well.

The former Florida commit re-opened his recruitment back in January after committing to the Gators in July of 2018. The re-opening of his recruitment opened the door for the in-state Tar Heels again and they took advantage.

The Tar Heels have been recruiting Bingley-Jones hard since that re-opening and they might be the leaders in the clubhouse. The defensive end will choose between UNC, Duke, Florida and Ohio State on Saturday.

Bingley-Jones listed those four teams in June and then set his announcement date just a month later.  Since then, he’s visited UNC’s campus including being in attendance for the BBQ. That could be a big advantage for the Tar Heels come Saturday.
