UNC Football: Tar Heels to host recruiting event this weekend
By Zack Pearson
Mack Brown and the Tar Heels are hosting a big recruiting event this weekend with their annual barbecue on the campus of Chapel Hill
The North Carolina Tar Heels football program will begin practice in preparation for the 2019 season next week when they report to camp in Chapel Hill. But before that, the program is hosting a BBQ event with some big recruits on campus.
UNC usually puts on this big recruiting event for the Summer to get targets on campus and it sometimes pays off. That’s the hope this year as they would love to addd to the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes.
This event is a huge one for recruiting with several visitors getting to campus before their High School practices start in August.
Here is a list of prospects that are on campus per their social media accounts:

As you can see, that’s a pretty big list of recruits and commits that are already on campus for the weekend event.
Brown’s 2020 recruiting class is off to a heck of a start. With still about four months left until the early signing period, the class currently ranks 15th in the nation and fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels still have a few big recruits left on their board and could pickup another commitment when four-star defensive end Kedrick Bingley-Jones makes his announcement next weekend.
UNC is also waiting on the decision from five-star defensive end Desmond Evans.
