Grayson Allen

Grayson Allen. Where does one begin when it comes to this gem?

His smug looks and seemingly clueless responses to foul calls appear charming compared to his more pronounced characteristics, like hitting unknowing opponents in the back of the head or extending a leg to trip an offensive player running full-speed.

Below is a nice compilation of Allen’s most impressive work, including his greatest trips, cheap shots, excessively hard fouls and adorable temper tantrums. Take a look.

Notice toward the end of the clip when Duke is playing at Virginia Tech, and Allen gets into a scrum with Hokies guard Justin Robinson. ESPN color commentator Dan Dakich comes to the defense of Allen, stating that the incident was “absolutely not Grayson Allen’s fault” and that it was just two guys going after the ball as hard as they possibly could.

Allen will apparently get no such benefit of the doubt from Dakich anymore, as the former Hoosier absolutely shelled Allen for his latest in-game antics during an NBA Summer League game last week. Check out the following video which recounts Allen’s most recent series of cheap shots against Celtics forward Grant Williams.

It’s difficult to say if the dumbfounded look on Allen’s face at the end of the clip is as bad as the two flagrant fouls in seven seconds, but it’s got to be close. Both are equally ridiculous, though.

Some of the players on our list got here from an annoyingly fundamental style of play or a really hard work ethic, while others were simply disliked for being better than their opponents. Grayson Allen, on the other hand, earned his stripes.
