Lance Ware

Lance Ware is a name that college basketball fans will be less familiar with than many of the others on this list. That may change in the coming months, though.

Ware’s recruitment is beginning to heat up, with some of the sport’s top programs now reaching out to him. He’s already got scholarship offers from nearly a dozen schools including Maryland, Miami, Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech. He’s also receiving heavy interest from Louisville, Marquette, Providence, and now, North Carolina.

Ware has taken multiple trips to the University of Michigan, as well as a visit to the Kentucky Wildcats campus in Lexington. He’s also gotten visits from South Carolina and Kentucky — the latter of which came from John Calipari himself.

A 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward out of Camden High School in Burlington, New Jersey, Ware is the No. 47 prospect in the class of 2020 according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s the No. 8 player at his position, and second in the state of New Jersey.

There’s no known timeline for Ware’s decision at this point, nor is there any real feel for what school he’ll eventually commit to. His Crystal Ball is currently empty.
