UNC Basketball recruiting target Cam’Ron Fletcher’s recruitment is starting to pick up as Summer has just begun. The latest on the four-star wing.

With Summer here, the recruitment of prospects in the 2020 recruiting class will begin to heat up.

After a brief break on the AAU circuit from Spring, things will pick up again for the Summer sessions and we should expect to hear more on the recruiting front. For the North Carolina Tar Heels, head coach Roy Williams two four-star centers in the 2020 class over the weekend, going to Minnesota on Friday and then Maryland on Sunday.

As Williams currently has a verbal commit from five-star center Day’Ron Sharpe, he’s hoping to add another dominant post player to his class. But that’s not the only plan as UNC would love to add a few more recruits.

One of UNC’s newest targets is four-star wing Cam’Ron Fletcher, a small forward out of Saint Louis, Missouri. The No. 32 overall ranked player in the class per 247 Sports has seen his recruitment pick up a bit over the past few weeks.

It was just last week when the Tar Heels became the latest big program to offer him and now on Saturday, Kentucky has also extended an offer. Fletcher is now up to 27 offers and his recruitment is heating up.

Rivals reporter Eric Bossi wrote in his Starting Five article on Monday about Fletcher’s recruitment and where things stand as of now:

"Fletcher hasn’t ever put out a final list and has been careful not to name favorites but the thought behind the scenes has been that he’s hoping to end up at one of college hoops glamour programs. Despite the new interest, Missouri and Michigan State have to be considered firmly in the mix but as we wait to see a true list of finalists from him it will be important to monitor the impact that offers from UK and UNC could or will have on his recruitment."

Fletcher hasn’t made any big updates to his recruitment as of yet but with the Tar Heels putting out an offer, we could see him take a trip to Chapel Hill soon.

He was named the MVP of the NBPA Top 100 camp and his stock continues to soar. We expect UNC to keep tabs on him as the Summer months continue.

Next. UNC was named a top program for this five-star center. dark
