Former 5-star UNC Basketball recruit Nassir Little worked out for the Charlotte Hornets on Friday afternoon and talked about his pre-draft process.

Nassir Little arrived at North Carolina in 2018 as a top 5 prospect in every major recruiting rankings for the 2018 class. Little committed to UNC in October of 2017 and as time went on, he was considered to be a Lottery Pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The former five-star recruit didn’t start for the Tar Heels in his freshman season and instead came off the bench as the sixth man.

It took Little a bit to get adjusted to the college game and he really started to break out at the end of the season. He was UNC’s best player in the first two games of the 2019 NCAA Tournament and it appeared as if things were starting to click for him before he suffered an illness and struggled vs. Auburn in the Sweet 16.

As it stands now, Little is still projected to be a first-round pick but his stock is more of a fringe lottery pick as we enter June.

Little recently participated in the IMPACT Basketball Camp in Los Angeles with NBA scouts in attendance. To end the week, Little had his workout with the Charlotte Hornets:

As you can see above, Little was with at the Hornets facility for the workout and did shooting drills to show off his jumper. Little’s jumpshot was something that he struggled with at the college level but it appears as if he has worked on it and it has improved during this predraft process.

If that’s the case, Little’s stock could raise a little and help his draft position.

Little is hoping to show off his versatility at the next level. Here is what he told Brendan Marks of the News & Observer:

"“I’m going to showcase my ability to hit open shots,” Little said. “I think I shoot the ball way better than I get credit for. My ability to handle the ball and make plays, things like that. Just because at UNC, those positions were already kind of filled in.“I think in the NBA, I can show my versatility a little bit more.”"

The 2019 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 20th live in Brooklyn, New York.
