One of the top players in the 2021 recruiting class is hoping to land a offer from the UNC Basketball program as he continues his stellar play

The North Carolina Tar Heels are making one final push for their 2019 recruiting class in hopes of adding four-star forward Jalen Wilson. Roy Williams and his staff already have a really good 2019 class and are off to a good start in 2020 with the verbal commitment from center Day’Ron Sharpe last June.

While the Tar Heels are attempting to shape their roster for the next few years, it’s never too early to think about future classes including the 2021 class.

The Tar Heels have watched some recruits in the 2021 class but have yet to offer any player. While that will change over the next few months, one player is certainly hoping to get an offer from the Tar Heels.

Five star shooting guard Terrence Clarke  is one of the best players in the 2021 class right now and is hoping to receive offers from all of the “Blue Blood” programs in the country. He’s halfway there with offers from Kansas and Kentucky, but he told Jason Jordan of USA Today that he hopes to land more from both Duke and North Carolina.

“Those were my last two offers, and, of course, I’m excited about them,” Clarke said via Jordan’s article on USA Today. “But I want all of the Blue Blood programs to offer me, so I want Duke and North Carolina too.”

The Massachusetts native is ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the 2021 class and is the top shooting guard in the country. At 6-foot-6, he’s a player that can score from all over the court making him a very intriguing prospect in the class.

Clarke has a total of 15 offers including Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, N.C. State and Syracuse among others. He’s yet to take any official visits but has been on campuses for some unofficial visits and has met with Kentucky coaches.

The Wildcats appear to be the frontrunner early on in his commitment but if Duke or North Carolina offer, things could change in a hurry.

Clarke is currently playing on the Nike EYBL AAU circuit and will draw a crowd during the Summer sessions. That possibly could include Williams or other UNC coaches, which is something we will keep an eye on.
