UNC Basketball’s Kenny Williams was one of the top performers at a basketball combine last week and it could help him get noticed ahead of the 2019 NBA Draft.

Former University of North Carolina guard Kenny Williams was not one of the players selected to the NBA Scouting Combine in Chicago last week. He wasn’t one of the players even selected to the G-League Combine.

But yet the NBA Draft hopeful found a way to make an impression.

Williams was one of the players participating in the Pro Basketball Combine held at the Mamba Sports Academy this past week. He left the combine leaving a big impression on scouts as he turned in impressive performances on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The guard was named the PBC Performer of the Day on Wednesday, taking home the top spot in the combine among all players there. Williams scored 28 points in Session 2 on 8 of 9 shooting and made 5 of his 6 three-point attempts:

Williams was also measured at the combine and turned in a 6-foot-6.25 wingspan, 8-foot-1 standing reach, 32-inch vertical jump and a 38.5 max vertical jump per Inside Carolina’s Ross Martin.

While Williams wasn’t in Chicago performing with other top NBA Draft prospects, this is still good news for his chances on at least getting a G-League Tryout. Williams likely won’t hear his name called in June’s draft but it shouldn’t be long before he signs on with a team for the Summer League roster.

The guard has already worked out for the Charlotte Hornets and should have a few more before the process is over.
