4. Tar Heels win the ACC Regular Season

As stated by the title, these are BOLD predictions so because the of that, here we go.

Despite losing the talent that they had this year, their top five players, Carolina will bounce back just fine.

This all starts and ends with landing Cole Anthony though. Without him, this won’t happen.

If the Heels get the combination of Anthony and graduate transfer Rayjon Tucker, that accounts for some of the lost talent right there. The number two overall recruit paired with a 20+ point per game scorer, and the Heels are back in business.

Regardless of that, let’s look at the past in a very similar situation.

Now, despite not winning the championship this year, this roster turnover was very similar to the one back in 2005.

After winning the National Championship, the Tar Heels lost Raymond Felton, Sean May, Jawad Williams, Melvin Scott, Jackie Manuel, Marvin Williams, and Rashad McCants.

What happened the following season when everyone counted them out? They came in second in the ACC, finishing just two games behind Duke and even beat the Blue Devils in the regular season.

With more experience returning than that year, and what could be a very similar, if not better, recruiting class coming in, the Tar Heels will end up atop the ACC regular season rankings.
