Some former UNC Basketball players are in Columbus, Ohio to watch the Tar Heels take on Washington in the Round of 32

If you have been watching the North Carolina Tar Heels in the NCAA Tournament, which we hope you have been doing, then you have probably seen some familiar faces in the stands.

With the Tar Heels playing in Columbus, Ohio , a few former Tar Heels have made the trip to watch their first-round win over Iona and even the Round of 32 matchup with Washington.

For Friday’s win over the Gaels, Tyler Hansrbough, Bobby Frasor and Stillman White were all in attendance and sitting behind UNC’s bench for the game. The trio made the trip to show their support for the Tar Heels in the opening round of the tournament:

Following that win over Iona, the Tar Heels had a day off before returning to the court on Sunday to take on the Huskies. The winner will punch their ticket to the Sweet 16 to take on Auburn in Kansas City as they are locked into a battle at halftime.

Both Hansbrough and Frasor returned for Sunday’s game per R.L. Bynum as they are sitting behind the bench once again in Columbus:

Hansbrough and Frasor had successful careers in Chapel Hill, finishing with the most wins for a recruiting class in program history. They capped off their four-year career with a National Championship win over Michigan State in 2009.

With UNC being a No. 1 seed this year, they have the chance to win it all again. If they do, the 2015 class of Kenny Williams and Luke Maye could pass 2005 for most wins by a recruiting class of all time.

They would also have two national championships and three Final Fours in that span, an incredible achievement. But first things first, they need to get out of Columbus with a win and can do so in front of both Hansbrough and Frasor.
