The UNC Basketball program landed three players on the All-ACC Tournament teams as they prepare for the NCAA Tournament this week

The North Carolina Tar Heels fell short in their goal of winning the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, after winning a share of the regular season just a week ago.

UNC was knocked out by Duke in a thriller Friday night, bowing out 77-76 with a chance to win it in the final seconds. Now the focus shifts to the NCAA Tournament, where the Tar Heels will look to win six straight and capture their second national championship in three years.

With the NCAA Tournament beginning next week, UNC is going to need their big playmakers to step up if they want a shot at cutting down the nets in April.

And that starts with graduate transfer Cam Johnson.

The former Pitt product has been shooting lights out for the Tar Heels this season and has been arguably their most important player. Johnson continued that hot shooting in the two games in the ACC Tournament, making 14 of his 30 shots and finishing with a combined 37 points.

For his efforts, Johnson earned a spot on the All-ACC Tournament First Team, joining Duke’s R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson, Florida State’s Mfiondu Kabengele and Virginia’s Kyle Guy:

Freshman Coby White and senior Luke Maye were both named to the All-ACC Tournament Second Team, joining Duke’s Tre Jones, Florida State’s Terance Mann and Syracuse’s Frank Howard.

Even though UNC lost to Duke, there seems to be confidence with this team heading into the most important part of the season.

If UNC can stay hot and play the type of basketball they have been for over a month, they have a good shot. Don’t be surprised if these three fuel UNC as well.
