Seeding set for next week’s ACC Tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the seeding and bracket for the 2019 New York Life ACC Tournament, which will begin on Tuesday and end with the championship game the following Saturday night. The event — which was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York last year — will take place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

ACC regular season co-champion Virginia (28-2, 16-2) is the No. 1 seed in the tournament for the fifth time in program history, and the fourth time in the last six seasons. Co-champion North Carolina — who went 16-2 in conference play, and sits at 26-5 overall — is the No. 2 seed after a 79-70 victory over Duke on Saturday evening.

The Blue Devils (26-5, 14-4) are the 3-seed after losing three of their final six games of the season — all of which were played without star freshman forward Zion Williamson — and the Florida State Seminoles (25-6, 13-5) are seeded fourth.
