We take a look at where the UNC Basketball program ranks in the latest set of Bracketology by multiple outlets across the web

The North Carolina Tar Heels will wrap up their 2018-19 Atlantic Coast Conference regular season with a rematch against No. 4 Duke in Chapel Hill. A win means the Tar Heels at least have a share of the regular season conference title and could have sole possession depending on what Virginia does in their finale against Louisville.

Saturday’s matchup also has some big seeding implications for the NCAA Tournament.

A win for UNC helps boost their resume, giving them a regular season sweep and a share of the ACC regular season title. That’s a big statement on their resume and could help get them a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Another thing to keep in mind is the ACC Tournament which begins next week.

As it stands now, UNC and Duke are on track to meet for a third time this season and would matchup in the semi-finals next Friday. The two teams are currently the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds in the ACC Tournament going into the finale.

The only thing that could change things in a big way would be if Virginia lost to Louisville. That would bump the winner of UNC-Duke to the No. 1 seed in the ACC, setting up a rematch for the finals instead of semifinals.

UNC is going into Saturday’s game playing some of their best basketball of the season. They have won 13 of their last 14 with the lone loss coming at home to Virginia. Along with those Cavaliers, they are one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball.

But even with that streak, they still haven’t found themselves on a No. 1 seed line yet. Let’s take a look at the latest Bracketology from a few different outlets going into the regular season finale:

Bracketology (Updated March 8)No. 2 seed in Midwest vs. No. 15 Colgate Top 4 seeds: (1) Tennessee, (3) Texas Tech, (4) Wisconsin. Notable seeds: (5) Virginia Tech, (6) Auburn, (9) Syracuse, (10) Minnesota.

Jerry Palm on CBS Sports (Updated March 8)No. 2 seed in Midwest vs. No. 15 Colgate. Top 4 seeds: (1) Tennessee, (3) Texas Tech, (4) Wisconsin. Notable seeds: (5) Virginia Tech, (6) Villanova, (10) Minnesota, (11) Florida.

Brad Evans Yahoo Sports Big Board (Updated March 6) — Top overall No. 2 seed. Evans moved UNC up from the No. 6 overall team to No. 5 behind No. 4 Duke, No. 3 Kentucky, No. 2 Virginia and No. 1 Gonzaga. He also has UNC ahead of Tennessee.

The Tar Heels still haven’t moved off of that No. 2 line in the mock brackets and are behind Duke who is on the one line. A win over the Blue Devils this weekend would really help UNC’s cause and may do enough to push them ahead until the ACC Tournament starts.
