ESPN College GameDay will send its crew to Chapel Hill for the final regular season matchup of the college basketball season between UNC and Duke

It’s always a fun, exciting atmosphere when Duke and North Carolina play twice in the regular season. UNC was able to win on the road at Duke in February, taking control of that game and really never looking back on their way to a double-digit win.

Now the Blue Devils are out for revenge when the two teams meet again in the regular season finale and there will be a lot on the line.

With just two games left in the Atlantic Coast Conference season, the  Tar Heels have already clinched a double-bye in the conference tournament and are looking to claim at least a share of the regular season title.

Both UNC and Virginia sit atop the ACC standings at 14-2 in conference play with Duke a game back at 13-3. Each team has two games remaining on their schedule and as it stands, Virginia is in the drivers’ seat as UNC and Duke still have one more meeting left.

All the Cavaliers have to do is win their two remaining games against Syracuse and Louisville to clinch at least a share of the regular season title. The Tar Heels must win out to clinch at least a share and that includes beating Duke on March 9.

There’s no doubt it will be an electric atmosphere come March 9th when the Blue Devils stroll into town for the rematch as the Dean Dome should be rocking. But to add to the excitement, ESPN is bringing their traveling pre-game show to Chapel Hill.

ESPN’s College GameDay will help tipoff what will be a big day in college basketball with a pregame show live in the Dean Dome:

The weekly show is hosted by Rece Davis, Jay Williams, Jay Bilas and Seth Greenberg, airing every Saturday morning.

The crew breaks down the day in college basketball and with this being the final regular season weekend, there will be a lot of bracket talk. There’s also the chance for a UNC student to win some cash if he can drain a half-court shot.

This isn’t the first time College GameDay has been at UNC either. Saturday will be the seventh time the program has been on campus and the 11th time the Tar Heels have been featured, tying Duke for the most.

College GameDay will air live at 11 a.m. ET on ESPN.
