Class of 2020 five-star UNC Basketball recruiting target Ziaire Williams will reportedly be on campus for his official visit soon

Precious Achiuwa wont be the only big recruiting target on the University of North Carolina campus for the March 9th rematch against Duke in the Dean E. Smith Center.

Just a few days after it was revealed that Achiuwa would take his official visit that weekend to Chapel Hill, another five-star recruit set his official visit for that same weekend.

Per SB Nation’s Tar Heel Blog, class of 2020 five-star forward Ziaire Williams will also be on campus for his official visit. That means UNC will have at least two five-star recruits on campus for what should be an electric atmosphere in the rematch between the two Blue Blood rivals.

Williams has taken one official visit so far, using that on Stanford with UNC being his second.

It’s still very early in his recruitment but as it stands today it appears as if the Tar Heels and Cardinal are the two early favorites. With Williams being on the West Coast that may give Stanford a bit of an advantage if he wants to play closer to home but don’t count out the Tar Heels just yet.

Especially after he has set his visit for the season finale.

The five-star recruit is currently rated as the No. 20 player in the country and No. 5 small forward in 247 Sporrs’ Composite rankings. He has a total of 16 offers but at the moment it’s UNC and Stanford recruiting him heavily.

With both Achiuwa and Williams on campus at the same time, this is a chance for UNC to do some damage and make a good impression for the recruits. Both will be significant decisions for 2019 and 2020.

They also might not be the only ones on campus either. With some time left before that game, don’t be surprised to see other visitors including players already committed.
