March (3 games)

Home: no. 1 Duke

It’s senior night for Luke Maye, Kenny Williams, and Cameron Johnson. The Tar Heels are playing their best basketball this time of the season and continue it again.

The crowd is amazing and the Heels get revenge from their earlier loss in Durham. It’s another freshman class from Duke that fails to win in the Dean Dome.

Away: Clemson, Boston College

The Clemson Tigers got off to a hot start this season, reaching no. 16 in the rankings, but have since cooled off.

A team led by Marcquise Reed (20.1 ppg) and Shelton Mitchell (13.8 ppg), the Tigers play the majority of their offense in and around the paint.

Averaging just 31.7 percent from three, ranked 266th in the country, Clemson has just two players with a 30 percent or higher rate from deep.

Clemson turns the ball over too much and fails to rebound it at a high rate, a mix that won’t bode well for them. The Tar Heels take this one.

The departure of Jerome Robinson left Boston College wanting more.

With one of the best backcourts in the ACC, if not the country last season, Ky Bowman returns and leads the Eagles with 20.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

Freshman Wynston Tabbs partners with Bowman in the backcourt and provides a great secondary option for Boston College. The Maryland native averages 14.7 points and takes some of the pressure off Bowman to score and create.

This is a trap game for the Heels as they have Duke at home in their next game, but I think they sneak this one out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one is close all the way until the end though.

March record: 3-0
