The Tar Heels tay put in the latest AP Top 25 Poll that was released on Monday after two weeks of the college basketball season

The North Carolina Tar Heels are now 4-0 to start the early college basketball season, completing another 2-0 week with wins over Stanford and Tennessee Tech in the Dean Dome.

UNC really hasn’t been tested, winning both road and both home games so far this year. But that will change this week.

The Tar Heels are set to host the St. Francis Red Flash for another Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational Campus Game, before they head to the West for the tournament. UNC will play Texas on Thanksgiving and then either UCLA or Michigan State depending on the results of Thursday’s games.

When the Tar Heels do host the Red Flash tonight in the Dean E. Smith Center, they will do so as the No. 7 team in the country.

UNC stayed put in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll that was released on Monday, as did the entire Top 7. The big movers were Villanova and Syracuse falling out of the Top 25 as both teams suffered two losses.

Movement in the Top 10 came from Auburn who jumped one spot to No. 8 and Michigan who climbed from No. 18 to No. 9.

UNC will travel to Michigan to take on the Wolverines next week in what could be a top 10 showdown in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

After Syracuse dropped out of the rankings, the Atlantic Coast Conference now has six teams ranked.

No. 1 Duke leads the way followed by No. 4 Virginia, No. 7 UNC, No. 13 Virginia Tech, No. 14 Florida State and No. 16 Clemson. Both the Hokies and Tigers were the only ACC teams that moved up in the rankings.

The Tar Heels do have a chance to get a Top 25 win this week as they will play either No. 11 Michigan State or No.17 UCLA.
