Cox Mill wing Wendell Moore will announce his decision on Monday and will decide between four in-state programs

Five-star recruit Wendell Moore will finally end his recruitment and announce which college he will be attending on Monday, October 8th as he will decide between four teams. The recruit announced on Thursday afternoon that he will officially make his decision on Monday, ending what has been an interesting recruitment over the past couple of years.

Moore’s recruitment has been pretty silent over the past few months or so, with him trimming his list down to five in North Carolina, Duke, N.C. State, Wake Forest and South Carolina. He did schedule official visits to all five programs but cancelled his visit to South Carolina, eliminating the Gamecocks.

When Moore makes his announcement on Monday, he will choose between the Tar Heels, Blue Devils, Demon Deacons and Wolfpack.

Moore has made three visits, going to Duke, Wake Forest and N.C. State and was scheduled to make another official to UNC next Friday for Late Night With Roy. But with the recruitment coming to an end, Moore will not visit Chapel Hill unless he picks the Tar Heels.

Early on in Moore’s recruitment, the Tar Heels were thought of as the favorites to land the five-star wing. There were whispers that Moore was ready to commit to UNC last October but then Duke stepped in and Coach K officially offered Moore.

From there, the momentum switched to Duke and Moore didn’t even take an unofficial visit to UNC over the past year.

While his recruitment has been silent of late, it appears the Blue Devils are still the favorites to land him on Monday. They have a 93% on the 247 Sports Crystal Ball right now compared to just 7% for UNC.

It’s unknown at this moment if Moore has canceled his official visit to UNC, which would all but end their chances. He could shock everyone and pick the Tar Heels then take his official visit to LNWR, similar to what Josh Green just did with Arizona.
