Roy Williams made a visit down the road in North Carolina to see a five-star prospect for an in-home earlier this week

With the new open contact period beginning a few weeks back, University of North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Roy Williams has made his rounds for in-home visits to recruits left on his 2019 recruiting board.

Williams visited several 2019 prospects last week in hopes of landing some to add to his class that already includes Armando Bacot and Jeremiah Francis. The head coach has been active in each of the priority targets including Wendell Moore.

On Monday, Williams took a short trip to Concord, North Carolina to make an in-home visit with the five-star wing. Prep Circuit’s Pat Lawless is reporting that both Williams and assistant coach Hubert Davis were on hand to meet with Moore.

The 6-foot-5 Moore originally listed a final five of UNC, Duke, South Carolina, N.C. State and Wake Forest. But recently, he cancelled a visit with South Carolina which eliminated them.

Moore is still planning on visiting all of the other four, including making a trip to Chapel Hill from October 12-14 for the Tar Heels’ annual “Late Night With Roy” event. It will be Moore’s final visit of his four officials.

The recruit was once considered a heavy lean to UNC and the rumor was he planned on committing to the Tar Heels but then received his “dream” offer from Duke.

As of now it appears as if the Blue Devils are the favorites to land Moore and even lead the Crystal Ball predictor at 83 percent compared to just 17 percent for the Tar Heels.

Moore is expected to wait to make his decision until he takes his official visits so expect one sometime after October.
