Former UNC star Vince Carter dishes on his NBA career, how the league has changed, slam dunks and who his G.O.A.T is.

Vince Carter has become the NBA’s ageless wonder as he just completed his 20th season in the league. The 41-year-old Carter recently announced that he’s planning on coming back for a 21st season as he’s set to be a free agent in just a few days.

Carter has had a storied NBA career, playing for seven different teams over those 20 seasons after making his debut with the Toronto Raptors in 1998. The former University of North Carolina standout is considered one of the best dunkers to ever play in the NBA and has showcased his skills even after he hit the 40-age mark.

The guard has played with and against plenty of superstars including Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan and LeBron James among others.

But when it comes down to who Carter thinks is the Greatest of All-Time, he’s sticking with the Carolina guy.

Carter appeared on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast hosted by Big Cat and PFT Commenter during a special event with Verizon Wireless. The episode dropped on Monday morning as the hosts talked with Carter about his career, dunking, how the NBA has changed and even the G.O.A.T. debate.

When discussing playing against Jordan, Bryant and James, Carter stepped back and said that it makes a great argument between the three as to who truly is the best player of all-time. Carter dodged the question at first but after the hosts told him they needed an answer, he offered up one that will make UNC fans happy.

“Oh, you need an answer?” Carter said. “I mean, I still have to give it to MJ. With a close Kobe second.”

While Carter went with Jordan, he did offer up some reasoning to not picking James right now.

“I’m going to say this real quick and it’s no disrespect to people,” Carter said.  “It’s hard for me, playing the game right now, to give a guy that crown. Because I’m still in the game, and he’s (James) still in the game.”

The full interview is fantastic as Carter dives deep into his NBA career, discussing the Slam Dunk contest and his legendary dunk in the Olympics.  You can find the full interview with Carter on iTunes available right now.
