The College World Series is a unique experience for UNC fans as well as the team as they hope to capture some magic and win it all

For the first time since 2013, the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team will play a game in Omaha, Nebraska as part of the College World Series. And they will face a familiar foe in the Oregon State Beavers.

The Beavers were able to outlast the Tar Heels to win it all in 2007, breaking the hearts of UNC fans around the country.

But this year could be different. A great start on Saturday would go a long way in UNC’s goal of winning it all and doing it against Oregon State would be even better. This year’s UNC team got off to a 7-7 start and things looked bleak for Mike Fox and his team.

They turned it around, won the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and swept through the Regional and Super Regional in Chapel Hill. Now, a unique experience not only on the diamond but as well as overall environment awaits the team and fans in Omaha.

If you’re a UNC and and are able to get out to Omaha, you should. This is a great chance to support our Tar Heels and try out some cool things as well.

One of those things is in the form of a new LIDS tent that is celebrating the College World Series in the Omaha Baseball Village. The tent will be up beginning today, Friday the 15th, and will last until Wednesday June 27th.

Located in the Omaha Baseball Village, the LIDS tent will allow fans to completely customize an officially licensed LIDS hat of their choice. Fans can embroid logos, words, and numbers on the hats to customize them to their liking.

With popular fan bases such as UNC, Florida, Texas, Oregon State and many more, the LIDS tent expects a big turnout this weekend as well as the entire tournament.

This isn’t the first time LIDS has done a tent at the College World Series but according to representative Jake Dimmitt, this will be one of the more cooler experiences they will offer.

Fans can stop by the tent to purchase and customize officially licensed LIDS merchandise everyday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m as the tournament goes on.

Hopefully you can stop by on the final day and get your College World Series UNC hat customized!
