Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is planning his visits and five schools are in heavy pursuit for the 2019 power forward

Power forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is emerging as one of the top prospects in the 2019 basketball recruiting class with his strong play of late.

The 6-foot-9 product out of Kansas has drawn interest from some of the top programs in the country and he recently received praise while participating in the U-18 USA Basketball trials in Colorado Springs last week. Rivals recruiting analyst Corey Evans praised Robinson-Earl’s efforts during the trials, writing on how he has become a big presence on the interior.

While Robinson-Earl was named to the 12-player roster on Tuesday, he’s still concentrating on his college recruitment which has seen five teams really make a push for him.

In-state Kansas remains the favorites to land Robinson-Earl when he does make his announcement, but that doesn’t mean things can’t change. Roy Williams and his UNC staff are still in heavy pursuit of a big man and the five-star Robinson-Earl would fit that mold.

The Tar Heels would love to pair a five-star big man with point guard commit Jeremiah Francis, as well as adding a dynamic wing to the mix in a player like Wendell Moore.

Arizona, Virginia and UCLA are also included in those five that stand out for the power forward.

Evans spoke to Robinson-Earl about each of those five teams and what he liked most about them. Here is what he said about the Tar Heels in the interview:

"“One of the best coaches and my dad played for coach (Roy) Williams. It is cool having an offer from one of the coaches that my dad played for. It was a really good offer because he really takes his time and picks and chooses his players. He doesn’t just go an offer a kid just to offer but he has offered just six or seven in my class so it is an honor to get an offer from him, one of the best coaches out there.”"

As for when he will take his official visits, Robinson-Earl says he plans on taking his five visits in the Fall after he competes in the 2018 FIBA America Under-18 Championships next week and then the AAU season following that.

With UNC being one of the five teams putting in a lot of effort for Robinson-Early, it’s very likely they will receive one of his five official visits. His decision will likely come in the Winter or sometime in 2019.
