Nassir Little will go in the top five of the 2019 NBA draft.

Think about how long it has been since the Tar Heels have had a top-five pick in the NBA draft. You would have to go all the way back to 2005 to find Marvin Williams and Raymond Felton who were drafted second and fifth respectively.

Fourteen years later,  Nassir Little will be the next Tar Heel in the top five. There is so much to like about Little. He is super long, strong, and young.

NBA scouts drool over players of his size and stature. Just look at guys like Stanley Johnson and OG Anunoby who scouts loved.

Little fits into that mold but shoots much better than Johnson.

I do not think that Little will necessarily need to wow everybody at UNC. He will measure out well at the combine and his athleticism is off the charts.

But that is not to say that Little will not be good.

I think Little will be a good perimeter defender for UNC. His length will bother smaller wing players. He may not be as good of a shooter as Kenny Williams but he will be able to score from all over the court.

If Little can show that he has any semblance of an offensive game, he will be a top five pick. NBA front offices just want players they can mold these days.

Little is the perfect player for an NBA team drafting in the top five who is looking for a wing for the future.
