Kenny Williams makes second team All-ACC for the Tar Heels.

Imagine if I had told you back in 2015 that Kenny Williams and Luke Maye would be two of the three most valuable players for UNC in 2018.

You would be scared, right?

Now it is not that crazy to think that these two are huge for the Tar Heels, mainly because we have seen Maye and Williams grow into good players in such short time.

The 2015 recruiting class was a disappointment, mainly because the Tar Heels whiffed on Brandon Ingram, the prized recruit in the 2015 Duke class. And for the most part, Williams was an afterthought in this class because he was a VCU de-commit following the departure of Shaka Smart.

But here we are in 2018, and Kenny Williams is the Tar Heels best shooter for next season, that is currently on the roster. He has developed to being more than just a shooter, however.

Williams is a strong defender, as you have heard tons of time. He repeatedly will guard the opposing teams best wing player.

That is the reason I think he will make an all-ACC team, not just on his shooting. Williams will have the chance to guard the best players in the country. His case for all-ACC will be made on defense.

Williams’ career will come full circle at UNC. From being a last-minute commit to being an all-ACC player. Kenny Williams will be huge for the Tar Heels.
