Next season is a long ways away, but the it’s never too early to think about how it will unfold for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Here are five bold predictions for next season

The North Carolina Tar Heels experienced a disappointing end to their season in 2018. They lost to Texas A&M, and it was not even pretty. They will lose their two senior leaders in Joel Berry and Theo Pinson, but there is still plenty of reason to be excited about next year.

Roy Williams is bringing in his best recruiting class since 2014 when Theo Pinson, Joel Berry, and Justin Jackson all committed to UNC. Nassir Little, Coby White, and Rechon Black will be huge for North Carolina and the next few years of the program.

But there are quite a few players that will be returning to keep the Tar Heels afloat next season.

Kenny Williams and Luke Maye will both be back in the starting lineup. There is also a good chance that graduate transfer Cameron Johnson will return to Chapel Hill as well.

The last few times we have done bold predictions, we have not done so hot. We went one-for-five last time, with the only one right was that North Carolina would win their first two ACC tournament games by 15-plus points.

Well for this time, we are going to go a little less bold, in hopes of still getting things right. The whole goal of this is to keep the predictions fun, but also reasonable.

The first prediction will talk about the big battle at the point guard position for the Tar Heels!
