The Tar Heels win their first two ACC tournament games by 15+ points

As we stated earlier, the Tar Heels could have a pair of challenging opponents in the ACC tournament.

Earlier this season, the Tar Heels played Syracuse in the Carrier Dome and it came down to the end of the game, despite the Tar Heels leading most of the game.

The Tar Heels will play Cuse once again and this time we expect them to come out and make a statement. Joel Berry had a rough outing against Duke and he will be playing with fire. The Tar Heels also did not get much from Luke Maye in that game, so he will have something to prove.

Assuming the prediction is right and the Tar Heels discard one of those teams pretty easily, that will set up a rematch with Miami.

North Carolina played Miami last Tuesday and Miami hit a game-winning three-pointer on Joel Berry and Theo Pinson’s senior night. I am not sure how well that will play out for Miami if the Tar Heels face them again.

Pinson and Berry will be ready for some revenge and even with Miami having Bruce Brown back in the lineup, the Tar Heels will have no problem with Miami this time.

North Carolina has big goals for this postseason and there is no better way to begin that journey than with two big wins. It would also go a long ways toward helping the Tar Heels get their mojo back after a couple of tough losses.
