The 2018 postseason is officially here. It’s time to go through some bold predictions for the North Carolina Tar Heels.

March Madness has arrived.

There is nothing better in all of sports than the first Thursday and Friday of the NCAA tournament when all the teams play all day long. But for the North Carolina Tar Heels, this time around there is a little less pressure.

They got the monkey of a national championship off their backs last year. But there is still a desire to win another championship, as always.

The Tar Heels will not have an easy road to their second ACC championship in three years. Nor will they have an easy path to their third straight Final Four. But they most certainly have all the talent to accomplish both of those things.

Their postseason will begin on Wednesday when they face Syracuse for the second time in two weeks. Should they win that game, they will have a rematch with Miami, but in Brooklyn this time.

It will not be easy to get another rematch against Duke, but the Tar Heels could match up with them during the semi-finals. Should they play again, a lot could be on the line as far as NCAA Tournament seeding.

Back at the beginning of the season, we did bold predictions for the regular season. We were a solid 0-for-4, with the only other prediction being Joel Berry would win the Bob Cousy award, which is not looking good.

So here we are at the end of the year and we will give it another shot. The shooters mentality is that the next one is going in, right?
