Teams 13-15

Pittsburgh drops back to the low spot on the totem poll after going 0-2 this past week. The Panthers are not only the only ACC team without a win in conference play, they are also the only ACC currently not above .500 overall as well.

The biggest thing for Pittsburgh is that they haven’t even looked competitive in conference play. In their three ACC matchups, they have lost all by double digits and have been outscored on average 75-57.

The Panthers will look to finally get a win in conference play when they welcome in a Duke team on Wednesday, that has failed to win on the road in ACC play yet this season.

Georgia Tech moves up a spot this week by going 2-0. Of course, one of those wins was a nonconference victory over a 7-9 Yale team, but 2-0 is 2-0, especially when the other was against Miami.

In the Miami game, Josh Okogie busted out for a season-high 30 points and nine rebounds. During the two-game winning streak, Okogie has 50 points while shooting 77 percent from the free throw line on 11 free throws per game.

Okogie returning as one of the premier scorers in the ACC is a big boon for a Yellow Jackets squad that has some work to do to meet early season expectations. They will look to continue that on Wednesday as they try to get revenge against Notre Dame.

Wake Forest has been competitive in ACC play. Unlike the Panthers, who have the same number of overall wins, Wake is only getting outscored by 1.3 points per game.

They could just as easily be 3-0 in conference play as 1-2.

A lot of that is on the play of Bryant Crawford who has led the team in scoring in all three conference games. During ACC play, Crawford is averaging 20 points per game while shooting 51.5 percent from behind the arc and 88.9 percent from the line.

Crawford will look to continue his hot play and hopefully lead the Deacs to a home victory over Virginia Tech on Wednesday.
