It’s been a frustrating 48 hours or so as the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team dropped their first Atlantic Coast Conference road game of the year on Wednesday night.

The loss was a tough one for the Tar Heels, dropping them to 1-1 on the year but the way they lost as just frustrating.

UNC struggled in the first half before mounting a comeback in the second half on the back of Joel Berry.

In the end it was not enough as FSU extended its home win streak to 28 in a row.

Following the game, the hot topic was referee Ted Valentine and what he did to the senior Berry after a missed call.

That wasn’t the only news regarding the Tar Heels as there was much, much more. Here’s our latest Tar Heels Tidbits segment just in time to get you ready for the weekend.

  • The ACC actually released a statement via Teddy Valentine’s cold shoulder to Berry during the FSU loss. It’s worth checking out here via ABC 11.
  • Wednesday’s game ended with Joel Berry missing a floater that would have given UNC the lead. But was there a better option? Greg Barnes of Inside Carolina broke that down in a great piece.
  • The UNC women’s team will take on Boston College on Friday morning after their game was canceled due to the snow storm hitting the Atlantic Coast. Following Thursday’s practice, the team had a snowball fight.
  • Kenny Williams moved into the top 100 for most assists at UNC during Wednesday’s loss at Florida State.
