Teams 4-6

The Hurricanes drop a spot this round despite only losing once. Of course, that loss was at home versus New Mexico State. Unfortunately for Miami, they really hadn’t played a great schedule up to that point and therefore a loss would hurt regardless.

Seven of Miami’s wins have come against sub 150 RPI teams. Nonetheless, the Hurricanes still have a really good team that ranks third nationally in points allowed per game.

Miami’s next game is Wednesday at Georgia Tech.

DURHAM, NC – DECEMBER 30: Phil Cofer

The Seminoles are the next team in the really good team group. The Seminoles had a chance to get a statement win this past Saturday against Duke, but couldn’t get the job done in Durham.

Florida State ranks in the top 50 nationally in points scored, rebounds, and assists. The Seminoles are led by the play of Terrance Mann who had only nine points against the Blue Devils.

Florida State will look to get even in ACC play when they welcome in the defending National Champion North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday.

The Tigers continue to surprise people making the biggest jump in these rankings for the second consecutive round. They are the anti-Yellow Jackets.

A lot of people wondered just how good this Clemson team would be with the loss of Jaron Blossomgame, and the answer is really good. The Tigers are actually averaging more points and shooting better overall than they did with Blossomgame last season.

Clemson will continue to improve this season is an addition by subtraction when they travel Wednesday to play Boston College.
