Roy Williams takes a trip to Florida to visit some big recruits in upcoming classes

It was just two days ago that the North Carolina Tar Heels earned their biggest win of the season yet, going into Tennessee and knocking off the ranked Volunteers on the road.

Following that win, head coach Roy Williams was back on the recruiting trail to see recruits in both the 2018 and 2019 class.

On Tuesday, Williams took a trip to the state of Florida to see three of the best recruits in these next two classes.

Inside Carolina’s Sherrell McMillan confirmed that Williams was visiting Tar Heels recruit Nassir Little and 2019 recruits Vernon Carey and James Wiseman.

All three recruits are playing in the City of Palms Classic holiday tournament on Tuesday. Little is playing in the afternoon as Orlando Christian takes on Wesleyan Christian.

The event is taking place in Fort Myers.

Following that game, Williams will be watching both Carey and Wiseman in the night games at the tournament.

Carey is ranked as the No. 1 overall player in the 2019 class. The power forward currently holds 19 offers from schools including UNC, Duke, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami, Louisville and Tennessee among others.

Wiseman is ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the class, just behind Carey. The Memphis, Tennessee product is also a power forward and has an offer from UNC.

Both are big targets for UNC in the 2019 class but Duke is reportedly the favorite for Carey and Kentucky for Wiseman.

These two aren’t the only 2019 recruits that Williams has visited in the past week.

According to Rivals, Williams has visited five-star power forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl in the past two weeks.

Robinson-Earl holds an offer from UNC among other schools and has seen his stock rise with excellent play in 2017.
