Magneto

Magneto is the archenemy of Professor Charles Xavier and his X-Men. Consider by some to be the most powerful mutant of all time, Magneto has the ability to bend metal to his will.

He is so powerful that is often takes a team, ala the X-Men, to defeat him and not just one guy like some of the other villains on the list.

I chose the X-Men for Miami because they are the only Coastal team that is truly a team this season.

Whether it is Malik Rosier lasering the ball through the air like Cyclops, Braxton Berrios snatching it out of the air like Wolverine, Travis Homer avoiding tacklers like Beast, or the defense encompassing everything like Storm, Jean Grey, and Rogue, Miami has been a team this year.

Led by their own Professor X in Mark Richt, Miami is one win shy of a perfect regular season heading in to the ACC championship game against Clemson. To get there unscathed they will need to beat a Pitt team desperate for a win.

Well that does it for this round of rankings. Before I sign off here is how I rank the entire ACC after one week (Coastal teams in bold, rankings movement in parentheses):

  1. Clemson Tigers (0)
  2. Miami Hurricanes (0)
  3. Virginia Tech Hokies (+2)
  4. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (+2)
  5. NC State Wolfpack (-2)
  6. Boston College Eagles (+1)
  7. Louisville Cardinals (+1)
  8. Florida State Seminoles (+2)
  9. Virginia Cavaliers (0)
  10. North Carolina Tar Heels (+2)
  11. Duke Blue Devils (+3)
  12. Syracuse Orange (-1)
  13. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (-9)
  14. Pittsburgh Panthers (-1)

Anyways enjoy the week and get rested up for week 1213. The season just got started with the College Football Playoffs just around the corner.
