The One on the Right is on the Left

Often when one confuses their right for their left, or vice versa, they are in trouble. When driving that can lead to a major wreck, in gambling it can lead to a major loss and in acting it can lead to a major goof.

For Georgia Tech it is the difference between dominance and mediocrity.

When the Yellow Jackets have people guessing they hard to beat. One only needs to mention their 403 rushing yard 26 point victory over North Carolina.

However, when a defense is ready and prepared, it can go south for the Yellow Jackets quick. Much like what happened against the Clemson Tigers.

Clemson held Georgia Tech to 198 total rushing yards. It was the first time all season that the Yellow Jackets failed to gain at least 200 rushing yards. The Tigers also held Georgia Tech to just 10 first downs and a 20 percent success rate on third downs.

Taquon Marshall also had a tough game against a Tigers defense that ranks second in the ACC in rushing yards per game. Marshall gained only 23 rushing yards on 15 carries, his second-lowest total for the season.

The only bright spot in the double-digit loss was Kirvonte Benson who finished with 129 yards on 16 carries. The game was Benson’s fifth 100-yard rushing game of the season.

Paul Johnson will be making sure every shoe is on the correct foot this week as his team looks to rebound against Virginia, who is on a current two-game losing streak.
