UNC in the NFL: Tracking Tar Heels in Week 3
By Grant Hughes
Other Noteworthy Performances.
Bug Howard: Wide Receiver, Cleveland Browns
Bug Howard has found a new home, at least for the time being. After a visit to the Bears last week, Howard found himself signing a practice squad deal with the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are thin at receiver, consequently, Howard could find himself called up before you know it.
Eric Ebron: Tight End, Detroit Lions
After enjoying a breakout game last week, Ebron put up another dud against the Falcons. Though Ebron was targeted 7 times, he was only able to reel in 2 catches for 9 yards.
Ebron took to Twitter to talk about his performance following the Lions loss to the Falcons in Week 3.
Zach Brown: Linebacker, Washington Redskins
Another week, another game where Zach Brown led the Redskins in tackles. Brown only managed 5 tackles against the Raiders, but he continues to anchor the Redskins’ defense.
Oh, he also made this tackle on receiver Seth Roberts:
Brown’s performance was big as the Redskins defense shut down one of the best offenses in the NFL. Washington is looking to keep their win streak alive and improve to 3-1 in the tough NFC East.
The Redskins are currently in a tie with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys atop the division at 2-1 on the early season.
Tre Boston: Safety, Los Angeles Chargers
Boston notched two tackles in a loss to the Chiefs. On a more important note, though Boston has only been with the Chiefs for a few months, he earned Captainship this past week.
The Chargers have a rising defense but early on it’s been a struggle on both sides of the ball for the team.
That and the pressure is on after low attendance numbers in their move to Los Angeles.
