UNC Football: Helmet stickers for win over ODU
By Zack Pearson
Jordon Brown
The running back had a career day rushing for the Tar Heels in their win over Old Dominion.
Brown finished with his first career 100-yard game at UNC, rushing for 125 yards on 17 carries and scoring two touchdowns. He got the tone set early on converting a key 3rd-and-17 on UNC’s opening drive.
From there, it was all Tar Heels as the offense finally started to fire on all cylinders not only getting the ground game going but the passing attack as well.
The sophomore running back has the tough task of trying to replace the production UNC lost when Elijah Hood and T.J. Logan both left.
So far, through three games it has been a bit of a struggle but Brown finally looks like he’s ready to be that guy.
UNC also used freshman Michael Carter out of the backfield again. Carter was quiet in the Tar Heels loss to Louisville after an explosive debut.
The emergence of Carter will help Brown moving forward.
With Carter spelling Brown on drives it will give him some time to keep his legs fresh. UNC needs that rushing attack to be good for the rest of the season as it will open up play action and make life a little easier for quarterback Chazz Surratt.
Now can Brown keep this momentum going for UNC’s big game against Duke on Saturday?
