2017 ACC Football: Coastal Division Power Rankings week 3
Home
Home is exactly where Duke has played all three of their games this season.
In fact, thanks to road games against North Carolina and Wake, the Blue Devils will only leave the Tar Heel state three times this season, and two of those are to Virginia, which is the state just above.
Regardless of parity, give the Blue Devils credit for taking advantage of their home field advantage.
Duke is 3-0 for the first time since 2014 and playing with a purpose, though their recent game against Baylor was nothing impressive.
In the game against the Bears, the Blue Devils allowed 320 total yards after allowing only 349 total yards in their first two games combined.
However, they did force four turnovers against Baylor, including three picks, the last of which the team returned for a touchdown to put the game away.
Additionally, Daniel Jones had a tough game.
After throwing for 518 yards and four touchdowns in his first two contests, he finished the game against Baylor with just 184 yards and an interception.
Not all was bad for the Blue Devils offense who got a huge game from Shaun Wilson. The running back ran for 176 yards and two scores to help Duke hold off Baylor.
Overall, the Baylor game was not Duke’s best. They will try to regain their best when they travel to play North Carolina, for their first “road” game of the season.
