2017 ACC Football: Coastal Division Power Rankings week 2
Long Arm of the Law
The dictionary defines the word marshal as an administrative officer of a U.S. judicial district who performs duties similar to those of a sheriff. In the old west, the Marshal served as the law in a lot of small towns.
Well, Georgia Tech has their own law man who just also happens to be named Marshall. TaQuon Marshall has been everything for the Yellow Jackets this season.
The junior quarterback leads the team in passing and rushing while accounting for nine of the 10 touchdowns the team has scored this season. Last week he finished with 137 total yards and four scores.
The Yellow Jackets also got a strong performance out of their defense that held Jacksonville State to only 189 total yards of offense. In two games Tech has out-gained their opponents 977 yards to 558.
Georgia Tech will be looking for more of the same from their Law man as they head into conference play in two weeks.
The Yellow Jackets were supposed to play UCF on Saturday in Florida but the game was postponed due to Hurricane Irma.
Now, they prepare for their ACC opener against Pitt on Sept. 23 before taking on UNC and Miami the following two weeks.
