How Am I Doin’

No this is not a reference to Joey Tribbiani from Friends. That’s “How You Doin?

Instead, this is the question Justin Fuente was probably asking me after his team pulled out the big win over West Virginia.

I wasn’t sure how Virginia Tech would respond to losing some big weapons in the passing game and ranked them accordingly. All the Hokies did was prove me wrong. I’m sorry Coach Fuente I am trying to make up for it this week.

Speaking of talent replaced, the Hokies seem to have found a replacement for Jerod Evans in Josh Jackson. The dual threat Jackson finished with 336 total yards of offense and two scores. He also looked often for wide receiver Cam Phillips who also had a big game.

The biggest concerns for Virginia Tech are at running back where Travon McMillian continues to struggle, and surprisingly at defense where the Hokies allowed 592 total yards of offense and 29 first downs.

However, all in all the Hokies look like a legit challenger for the Coastal Crown. So to answer your question Coach Fuente, you seem to be doin’ just fine and that feeling should continue after a home game with Delaware this week.
