Lot of Leavin Left to Do

First, let me say this is not some secret message that Coach Narduzzi is looking to get out and ditch Pittsburgh.

So calm down Panther fans it will be ok. Just breathe.

Not every song title fits perfectly and this one is off just a bit. Coach Narduzzi may not have a lot of leaving left to do but he does have a lot of work left to do. For the second time in three seasons, Pitt struggled to beat FCS opponent Youngstown State at home.

I really don’t know what the reasoning is. Maybe it’s because the Penguins are one of your better than average FCS opponents. Maybe it’s because Narduzzi played there. It is a mystery but like the time before they do escape with a win which is key.

Also unlike the time before they didn’t lose their star running back to a season ending injury as Qadree Ollison finished with 91 yards and two touchdowns. They also found ways to get Quadree Henderson the ball in space as he finished with 155 all-purpose yards.

However, they did struggle on defense where they allowed Youngstown State to get over 418 yards of total offense all while blowing a 21 point lead at halftime. Additionally, new quarterback, Max Browne looked pedestrian with 140 passing yards.

Things don’t get much easier for Pitt as they travel to play fourth ranked Penn State this week. As mentioned in my top 10 rankings, the Nittany Lions shut out an FBS opponent this week, even if was lowly Akron.
