Darius Days has updated his recruitment by trimming his list down to five teams

Class of 2018 four star forward Darius Days has provided an official update to his recruitment and there’s good news for UNC fans.

Days recently cut his list of schools down to 11 and has now trimmed the list down to just five over the weekend.

North Carolina, LSU, Louisville, Xavier and Ohio State are the five teams that made the cut for Days in his recruiting and he currently has visits set up to four of those schools.

Here’s what his visit schedule currently looks like:

As you can see noted, Days is also planning a visit to Xavier which will likely come after his LSU trip.

The date for the Xavier trip is important as he will make his decision shortly after the final trip.

Days spoke to Elevate Hoops about his final five teams and had some interesting words about UNC in his recruitment:

"“I talk to coach Roy (Williams) and coach Hubert (Davis) a lot. It’s just the way he (Roy Williams) talks to you. He’s not one of those coaches that tell you fake dreams. He just comes to you man-to-man and just talk about real life stuff and just tells me how he’s going to develop me and he’s just a real down to earth man and he’s very respectable. Other than being a coach, he’s a great guy.”"

The 2018 recruit has become an important one for the Tar Heels. UNC brought in a few big men in their 2017 class to help replace the production of Kennedy Meeks, Isaiah Hicks and Tony Bradley Jr.

But in 2018 with Rechon Black and Coby White, both guards signed, they are turning their focus to players in the paint.

Days is also the third forward to have a visit officially scheduled at UNC this upcoming Fall joining Nassir Little and Nate Laszewski who both have visits scheduled.

With the Tar Heels already having a top 25 recruiting class in the early 2018 period, adding one of those three players would certainly boost it.
